Test
Just downloaded the blogger app on my iPhone & I'm testing it out! Hopefully it works so I can just upload pics thro here instead of Facebook. This is a picture of a pancake that one of my high school girls from church made me at our pancake bfast. It's Mickey Mouse cuz the mr & I are going to Disney! Isn't she cute?
So What Wednesday
It's that time of week again!
You know the drill, linking up again with Shannon over at Life After I "Dew"
for another installment of So What Wednesday!
Here's what I'm saying So What to this week:
*if I'm only working 2 days this week? I had planned on working 3 but I was home with a killer migrane yesterday. Seriously- reduced to tears it hurt so bad.
*if our dining room and 2nd bedroom are still full of wedding gifts? It's so hard to decide where to put all of it!
*if we have to take down our tree this week and I'm not very happy about it? Christmas is my favorite time of year and I hate when it's over.
*if I have to do my holiday clearence shopping online because we live an hour away from Target? And they don't even have what I want online... Hmm... Do I go there? I do have things to return...
*if I asked for and got books for Christmas but I really want a Kindle Fire?
*if I'm contemplating buying a Kindle for the honeymoon? It would be way easier to take with then it would be to take books & magazines for the plane.
*if all we have booked for our honeymoon is the plane tickets? We have no idea where we're staying, what we're driving or where we're going... Other than Disneyland :)
*if I was really bad about taking pictures at Christmas? I was having a really great time with my family and friends. My camera/phone were the last thing(s) on my mind.
*if my Chirstmas post (coming soon!) will consist of images from the internet and not actual pictures? See above.
*if I really wish we had more snow? It just didn't feel like Christmas without it.
What are you saying So What to this week?

So What Wednesday
It's that time of week again!
Hooking up with Shannon at Life After I "Dew" for
another round of So What Wednesday!
So What:
*if I planned my whole outfit around my new necklace from Vintage Wanna BEE ? When you get something new you really want to showcase it!
*if I still have lots of Christmas gifts to wrap? And a few to get yet? I still have no idea what to get some people...
*if the Mr is driving me crazy? It's weird that he doesn't leave anymore (keep in mind this is the first time we've lived in the same town). And he doesn't have a job yet so he's home all day every day, so when I get home from work he's right there and he wants to talk, and he's got questions about where things go and why I didn't put things away yet... It'll get better... Right?
*if we still have wedding gifts all over the dining room and guest bedroom that we haven't put away yet? It's overwhelming and it's a lot of stuff. I don't know where to put it.
*if we booked plane tickets for our honeymoon but we haven't booked anything else yet? We don't know where we're staying or what we're doing (other than going to Disneyland :) ) but we know that we're flying to LAX. Any suggestions?

The best $32 dollars I've ever spent
Last night the Mr and I went to Grand Forks to return some wedding gifts at JCPenny's. And to get some things at Target (I hate that I have to drive an hour to go to Target!!).
Here are the things we got at Target:
Here are the things we got at Target:
AND
We also got new hangers for the Mr, some glasses that he wanted, a shower caddy (that we have to return because it doesn't fit right in our shower), a Mickey Mouse Christmas glass, and I got a Christmas gift for him. He got me something too but I don't know what it is and that's the way I like it :) We checked out seperately, I had everything that I just listed and all of the gift cards that we got. After the cashier rang everything up, my total was $439. Then we got 10% off anything that was still on our registry (vaccum & mixer were), then I used all of the gift cards that we got for wedding gifts. It was fun to pay that way but it was also kind of painful, I like saving gift cards, I don't know why. In the back of my mind I'm like "well I might need it for something someday..." Weird, I know. Anyway, I used the gift cards and in the end I put $31.94 on my Target credit card. Whoop-whoop!!
By far, the best $32 I've ever spent :)

Last minute Christmas crazies!
Oh my gosh! Christmas eve is 5 days away! When did that happen?? I feel like this fall has flown by- I can not believe that Christmas is this weekend. This weekend!!!! It probs doesn't help that we don't have snow yet, I think if we had snow it would feel more like Christmas.
This afternoon/evening the Mr and I are going over to Grand Forks to return some wedding gifts (we got 2 crockpots, 2 sets of the same sheets, and a broken pepper grinder) and do some Christmas shopping.
The Christmas shopping is the part that gives me a headache. I'm not sure what else to get my dad. I have no idea what to get the Mr's sister and her boyfriend, the Mr's brother said he didn't want us to get him anything because he can't afford to get gifts for everyone this year (he's a senior in college). I don't have a clue as to what we should get his dad. I don't know what my sister's boyfriend wants. We're doing a gift exchange with the Mr's family, I need a $10 gift for a woman and I don't know what to get. The only people that I'm done with are my mom, sister and grandparents. And I only have 1 thing for the Mr. And I'm not sure how to shop for him when I live with him and he doesn't have a job. When do I go? When do I wrap it?
I know that this isn't what Christmas is about and I get frustraded that I let myself get so caught up in it but I love giving the perfect gift. I love the feeling when you give someone something that they really want, I love the way their face lights up.
I also love prank gifts. We're giving the Mr's brother one of these this year. The Mr's brother goes to the U of M in the twin cities, he's a hard core Gopher fan. And we live in UND Fighting Sioux territory, and we love Sioux hockey. So we're getting a Fighting Sioux shirt that fits the Mr and then we're giving it to his brother as a joke. Hahahahaha!!!!
I think for his "real" gift we'll get him a gift card to the liquor store in our home town. That should make a 22 year old boy happy right?
I also love cute gifts. Like the one that I'm going to give my sister's boyfriend. His favorite beer is Miller Lite so I'm going to buy a 6 pack then adorn each bottle with wire cleaners to make antlers, googely eyes, and red noses so they turn into "Rein-beer". Hahahaha!

For my bridesmaids, I'm sending them all the flip flops that I bought them for the wedding but that we couldn't find the day of the wedding :) sorry girls!
For my bestie here in my northern town I'm stumped. I have no idea what to get her.
How are y'all doing on Christmas shopping? Are you all done already?

for lindsey at the pleated poppy
This is Alex, the ring bearer from our wedding and Tyler one of our ushers.
Aren't they cute?
Alex is the son of a friend of the Mr's and mine. He is such a cutie! I love him.
Anyway- our wedding colors were royal blue and lime green. We borrowed a tux for Alex from a friend and we could not find a tie for him that matched the "big boys".
For a while now I've been following Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy and I saw this tie in her shop that would be perfect for Alex. It's lime green with white polka dots! So cute!
I went to buy it and the shop told me that it was gone :( So I e-mailed Lindsey and she said that it was, in fact, NOT gone. Insert my happy dance here :) :) :)
So I ordered it.
And look how perfectly it matched the "big boys".
I will def be ordering from Lindsey again!
Thanks Lindsey!

Twitter?
I've been thinking about jumping on the twitter bandwagon lately. Since it came out I've been hesitant, and I don't know why. Maybe because I don't really get it? I mean- what's the point in just status updates? Or why would I want to limit myself to so few characters? But the last few days, just about everything that I have thought about blogging about has been to short to actually blog about.
Here's what's been running in my head lately:
*seriously- no snow?
*my husband has 36 pair of jeans that fit him! yes, you read that right 36. I have 6. what's wrong with this picture?
*christmas tree is finally all decorated, a week and a half after getting it
*i miss sleeping in my bed by myself
(ok, so this one could really get a longer post about living with a boy and the chagnes that I've noticed already, but that's not the point I'm trying to make)
*made @ShannonDew's recipe for bubble up enchiladas and they were delish
*seriously- 36 pairs
*what? I can't just have cheez itz and diet coke for lunch anymore?
(this could go with the sleeping by myself bullet)
so- what are you thoughts? Do you tweet? Is it too late to jump on the bandwagon? Is it worth jumping on the bandwagon? Would you follow me? What would my name be? Cuz I'm pretty sure Demi is/was Mrs. K on twitter...

So What Wednesday
It's time to link up with Shannon from Life After I "Dew"
for another addition of SWW!!
Here's what I'm saying So What to this week:
*if this is going to be long than normal- I didn't So What last week!
*if I've had wedding brain for the last 2 weeks?
*if our Christmas tree isn't fully decorated yet & I can't seem to remember to get more ornament hooks or paper clips to finish it?
*if I already feel like I need a new project? Wedding projects took up all of my time for 10 months...
*if I moved stuff from one closet to another in our house and I lost a shoe?
*if I wish I was the same size now as I was in college and I thought I was big then?
*if I prefer pinterest on my phone (when it actually works) to pinterest on the computer?
*if I sometimes wish I was a nurse just so I could wear scrubs everyday?
*if I love looking at baby clothes and have even thought about buying some even though the Mr and I aren't having babies anytime soon?
*if I wish it would just snow already? It's the 14th of December and it's 35 degrees and misting out in northern MN. Something is wrong here...
*if I get paranoid sometimes that people are talking about me?
*if I laugh on the inside when other people make grammer mistakes? Please don't laugh at mine, I know that I make them too.
*if I want a do over of my wedding day? I wouldn't really change anything but I'd love to do it again!!
*if I'm not back into the swing of work yet? And I'm not sure when I will be? With the wedding then Christmas, then New Year's, then our honeymoon... They're lucky I'm even in my office.
*if we booked flights for our honeymoon last night but other than going to Disneyland we have no idea what else we're going to do in southern Cali for a week. No plans at all- any suggestions?
*if I constantly check facebook to see if anyone else has added wedding pictures yet? I love looking at them!

I'm getting married today!!!!
This is my last post as Sarah Harper.
And yes I am blogging at 2:15 in the morning/middle of the night.
We just finished decorating at the Holiday Inn after our groom's dinner. It looks so pretty!! I can't wait to show you pictures!
But right now I need to go to bed.
This is that last time I will go to bed as Sarah Harper.
Tomorrow I will wake up with one last name and go to sleep with a different one.
Weird.
Love, (for the last time) a future Mrs!

O Christmas Tree, 200, and babies
Happy Monday lovlies!
How was your weekend??
Mine was great. On Friday that future Mr came to my (soon to be our) house, I made dinner, he brought in some of his boxes, then we went to a friends house for abottle glass of wine. Thank you penny sale at Happy Harry's :) Saturday I had to get up early but the future Mr got to sleep in. He hasn't been feeling well so I decided to run errands without him. I stopped by church for the Spirit of Giving (more on that in a minute), then went to watch our friend's 6th grade boy play basketball, then Wal*Mart to get vitamin c pills for the future Mr, then tanning, then back to church for Christmas program practice with the little kiddos. They're so darn cute. Home for lunch, then we went and got our Christmas tree (apprently, I failed and haven't taken a picture of our tree yet, oops!), then off to Grand Forks to get some last minute wedding stuff and do some Christmas shopping. And dinner at Red Lobster (so what if I clean my plate? Seriously- nothing left but empty lobster shell and shrimp tales. So good.) Busy day.
Yesterday wasn't as bad. Christmas program at church in the morning. Pulled pork deliciousness for lunch, Vikings game on TV (I love them, I really do. But it is heartbreakin to be in the same situation week after week. Can they please just win one time??), nap, decorated the tree, tacos for dinner, cuddles on the couch. Then for the last time the future Mr went back to his house in our hometown. Next weekend he'll move here and live with me for good!!! Ahhhh!!!
Ok, the spirit of giving. This is an annual event that we do at our churh. We collect donations on Thursday and Friday of gently used items, we ask for Christmas/Holiday Items, outdoor/warm clothing, and blankets and the like. But we get a little bit of everything. We sort through it and it fills our felloship hall. Then on Saturday we have a free rummage sale. Yes, free. Basically it's for people that wouldn't get to have Christmas otherwise. It's pretty cool. And it was busy this year. Apparently there were people waiting to get into the church at 8 o'clock to start "shopping". Last year we figured we helped about 100 families. I haven't heard what the number is this year.

This is my 200th post!! Whoop whoop!!
When I hit 100 I did a giveaway, but life is a little busy right now.
Sorry lovlies, I promise I'll do something really cool for 300 or for my 1st blog-o-versary (Jan. 6th)
*****
And again, no, I am not having a baby. But 1, 2, 3 of the blogs that I followed announced within the last 2 days that they are expecting! Oh my goodness! What's going on?? And another blog that I follow is due on Sunday, and one that I did follow, but she stopped blogging is due in Jan. It's crazy with babies around here!!
And it's no secret that I have baby fever. I've had it for a long time. All I've ever wanted to do it to be a mom. Like seriously, if I could have a baby and then another and stay home with them, I would do it in a heartbeart.
The future Mr and I have talked about babies. We're undecided as to how many littles we want to have (more then 1, less then 5, that we can afree on). But we do know that we just want to be married for a while before we make littles. We have talked about starting to try after a yearm but should we get prego before that, never ever would we ever put an end to it. If God wants us to have a baby, we'll have a baby. (But not as many as the Duggar's have.) We've also talked about me staying home, but it all depends on our financial situation when we get to that stage of life. I would love to stay home, but it has to be the financially responsible thing to do.
Have a great Monday!
Love, a future Mrs.

'Tis the Season
December is probably my favorite month of the year. I love it for so many reasons. I love that the snow (when it finally gets here) is still new so people aren't frustrated with it and it's still pretty and white, it's not dirty. I love the people are in a good mood most of the time. I love that I get to decorate my house with all the little white lights that I want. I love that we get a fresh tree and it smells so good. I love the movies on TV. I love the music.
Last night I cleaned my house and busted out the Christmas decorations and I couldn't help but notice that almost all of my decorations are "secular". And I'm kind of shallow when it comes to Christmas. I get caught up in the consumerism of it all.
I want my house to be decorated just so. I want to get people the perfect gift. I want to get the right pictures. I'm not so good at remembering why we do all of this.
I'm not so good at focusing on the time of advent and the time of waiting for Jesus. I'm not so good at being thankful for what I do have, I tend to focus on what I don't have and the things that I want. I'm not so good at listening to what God wants from me, I spend too much time telling him what I want from him. (This is true all year, not just in Advent.)
When I say that I love all of these thing about December, I should really be saying I love Jesus. And He should be first on that list...

name changes + last times
It is so weird to to thing for the last time as a Harper. Last night I had youth group for the last time before I get married. Today I paid bills for the last time before I get married. I'm going to go home tonight and do laundry for the last time before I get married. It is such a surreal feeling.
Today while I paid bills, I also changed my last name on some of them. Here in town at the city office and at our cable provider's office, I changed my last name.
I'm not going to be Sarah Harper anymore. I don't know how to not be Sarah Harper, it's the only person I've ever been. My last name connects me to my family. Everything that I've done, I've done as a Harper. I don't know how to be a Knopf.
Anyone else have these feelings when they got married??

Wedding Wednesday
Oh my goodness!
10 days to go!
That means that I will only go to sleep 10 more times as Sarah Harper!!
It is down to the wire crazy around here!
This past weekend I:
*got my nails done for the wedding. Yes I know I will need to get them filled late next week but I wanted to give myself time to get used to them. And ps- remember this post with the bright blue nail polish? Well it was super hard to get off. The girl litterally had to buff it off of my nails & the skin around my nails turned blue from it!! I looked sick (and not in a good way!)
*survived bachelorette party #2. 3 of my girlfriends from high school took me out since they couldn't make it to my first party. Uff-da.
*bought gifts for our ring bearer and flower girl. I got them the crayola things where you can go online, take a picture of yourself and upload it to your own coloring book that you can print off. How cool is that?
*the future Mr and I finalized our programs with the printing company.
*the future Mr and I decided on what we wanted to do for cake/where we wanted the cake and cupcakes to go at the wedding
*touched base with the photographer to make sure that we're on the same page.
*confirmed with the florist as to what we need & how much it will cost
Yesterday I:
*made a list of pictures that I want to get
*printed off picture examples of pictures that I want
*printed off picutre examples of up-dos that I like for me and the b-maids
This weekend we need to:
*get a unity candle
*get a garter
*get a cute cake knife to cut the cake with for pictures
*get champagne/wine glasses for my b-maids for at the reception
*pick up my ring (I still feel very naked without it)
*I need to finish thank yous from my bridal shower
*make place cards for all of our guests
*finish b-maid gifts
*touch base with the Holiday Inn (food, beverages, cake, set up, etc)
*get the supplies for our sweet and salty table (goldfish, cheeze itz, chex mix, peanuts, m & m's, skittles, mints, twizzlers, etc as well as bowls to put all of them in)
*make bathroom boxes for the bathrooms at the HI? Maybe?
My head hurts thinking of all of the things that I need to get done. And it isn't helping me to sleep at all...
Love, a future Mrs (I won't be able to say that for much longer!!)
So What Wednesday
It's time to link up with Shannon again over at
Life After I "Dew" for another edition of So What Wednesday!
Here's what I'm saying "So What?" to this week:
*if I eat the same thing for lunch every Wednesday? It's so easy to get a footlong sub, eat 1/2 at lunch time & 1/2 at dinner time on Wednesdays when I'm at church forever.
*if I want to change my blog backround again? I think it's time for something Christmas-y...
*if it isn't even December yet and I'm already wearing a Christmas shirt? What? We're decorating tonight at youth group!
*if I am the worst blog swap partner ever?! I was suppose to get my scarfament in the mail in time for my partner to get it by tomorrow... It's still sitting here waiting to go to the post office...
I'm sorry Sarah! It's going in the mail this afternoon, I promise!
PS- you should go check out her blog Handbags N Pigtails- so cute!
*if it takes me days to do my laundry?
*if it's really hard to focus on work right now? Give me a break- I'm getting married in 10 days!
What are you saying "So What?" to this week?
Head on over to Life After I "Dew" to see what everyone
else is "So What-ing" this week!

Christmas
I am dying to put up my Christmas decorations.
But I told myself that I have to clean my house first. Obviously, I need somewhere to put the decorations, and the way the house is now, there's no where for them to go.
So tonight I will be cleaning my house and (hopefully) decorating.
Last night I turned the outside Christmas light on for the first time. Remember when the future Mr and I put them up? Well now I can finally turn them on. I seriously stood at my front door last night and just looked at them. They make my soul happy.
Have you decorated yet?
Love, a future Mrs.

Black Friday
I am such a hypocrit.
As we were having Thanksgiving dinner at my parent's house I was complaining that my sister had to go to work at 2 the next morning. I was complaining about how the focus of Thanksgiving gets lost. We rush through it to get to get deals and Christmas. We don't really take the day to be thankful (which we shouldn't really limit to one day anyway) and we don't take the time to relax with our families.
Then I went shopping at Wal*Mart at 10 pm on Thanksgiving with the future Mr's cousins. Yes, I am disgusted with myself too. I could NOT believe how many people were there!! And it wasn't even for the electronics- they didn't go on sale until midnight!
I wanted to get sheets and tupperware for my mom for Christmas because they were on her list and they were on sale (I'm talking great deals- 600 thread count sheets for $20!). But when we finally found the sheets someone had already ripped open the palet and taken all but 1 pair of the sheets. And that one pair was spoken for by the only girl that listened to the Wal*Mart emplyees and put her set back. There were other sheets that weren't as nice that were on sale too so I waited for those. At 10 o'clock they announce that you can take stuff now. This woman totally took over and put her but in my face hogged the sheets, seriously- she took like 5 sets. By the time she finally moved all the queen size sheets were gone :( so I didn't get any. Thankfully in the time that I spent trying to get the sheets, the tupperware didn't all get taken so I got mom the tupperware she wants. Hopefully she isn't reading this. Then I met back up with the future Mr's cousins, who had both gotten what they were waiting for. Amy got a sewing bag for her MIL and classic children's books (so bummed I didn't get those, they were $15 books on sale for $5!) and Megan got some picture frame set. Then we headed off to the movies!! Wooo who! I got 9 movies for $1.96 each! Then I got home and realized that I already have Mrs. Doubtfire and I bought it again... oops. Katie doesn't so she's getting it now. Then we went and got in line. I still could not believe the people. I'm so glad that I didn't have a panic/anxiety attack like I did when we went to the Renaissance Festival in September. While we were in line I snuck away for a minute and got a knock off sencty warmer because they were on sale too, and then I jumped back in line. I know, I'm a cheater, I'm sorry.
After that we went out for one drink and decided that we had started a tradition.
The next morning they picked me up a little after 5. Yuck, I know. I never thought I'd be one of those people. Our first stop was Radio Shack so they could get a Kindle for their mom/MIL (they are sister in laws). And get this, Radio Shack didn't even have one!! It was in the ad and they didn't have one! No, someone else didn't beat us to it, they never had one. Megan was pissed. Then we went to Menard's. Holy cow!!! The line was so crazy, I could not believe how many people were there. The line went all the way across the parking lot and down the frontage road. Then they opened the doors and it was a mad dash. Crazy. We got everything there that we wanted. I got a cricut cartridge, 2 candles, a wii remote charger for church, and 2 fleece blankets to make a tie blanket. The girls got what they came for too- dog beds and batteries.
After that it was off to K-Mart. It was so quiet. There was no one there. Again, we got everything we went for. I got the future Mr a craftmans shop-vac, and I got sheets for my mom. And tortilla chips. They weren't on sale but we had good dip at home and we were out of chips.
Then we stopped at McDonald's for breakfast and I was home by 8:30.
I spent the afternoon visiting with my friend Katie who is home from Portland to sing in the wedding. I haven't seen her in 15 months. It was so good to see her and visit for a while.
Then I went back to Wal*Mart to gifts for our flower girl and ring bearer. They're getting the thing from crayola where they get to go online and upload a picture of themselves then print off a coloring book where they're the star. How fun is that??
All in all, it was a successful black Friday. Even though I am a hypocrit.

Happy Needless Turkey Murder Day!
Okay, so I know I'm a few days late but better late then never right??
And, no, I am not a vegetarian, I just love "Friends" and I die when Pheobe says "Happy Needless Turkey Murder Day!"
So this is my Thanksgiving post.
I love Thanksgiving. I love that we get to eat a lot. I love that we get to relax. I love the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade. I love my family and spending time with them. I love the future Mr's family and spending time with them. I love gravy and rolls. I love sleeping in. I love the way the house smells when mom cooks.
I love it all.
This year we had Thanksgiving at my parent's house at 1 on Thursday. Katie and I helped mom cook, I made Grandma L's gravy that mom says year after year she can never make the same way G-ma did. Mom was impressed with mine :) I'm pretty sure I was beaming when everyone liked my gravy (even though it's just gravy and it isn't that hard). Since we were eating at 1 we needed to get up to cook at 8.
Ugh. It wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't gone out to hear a band play the night before. And it wouldn't have been so bad if we would've just listened to the band for a while instead of staying until almost 2.
Anyway... Mom and I got up at 8 so she could teach me to make her stuffing. I figured since I'm getting married I might need to learn how to do all of this stuff. Katie got up to help a little later then we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade which I normally love but it was terrible this year! The floats/balloons were all really far apart, the hosts weren't so great, and there were a ton of commercials. I slept throughmost of it part of it. Then it was back to cooking. I love the way the house smells when we cook turkey dinner with all of the fixings.
We ate a little after one. This year it was just 5 of us: mom, dad, Katie, me, future Mr. E didn't come this year because Katie works at JCPenny's in Fargo and she had to work at like 2 in the morning so she went back to Fargo when we were done with dinner. I wish he would've come with her, he's been around so long now that when he isn't there it feels like someone is missing :(
After we ate with my family I got dressed, yes I was still in my yoga pants and college sweatshirt, and we went to the future in-laws because they had dinner at one too. We didn't eat again. In fact, I didn't have anything to eat at their house. If you could've seen the dessert table you would be impressed with my will power. Actually, I didn't have any desserts on Thanksgiving. Mom bought a pecan pie and I'm more of an apple girl.
While we were at their house I got to hold the future Mr's cousin's new baby girl. Seriously, baby fever is in full force here. She is such a doll. And the future Mr held her!! It was the first time he'd ever held a baby!! I was so proud of him, I even took a picture. But he'd probably kill me if I showed anyone...

So What Wednesday!
It's that time of the week again!
Time to link up with Shannon over at Life After I "Dew"
for another edition of So What Wednesday
Here's what I'm saying So What to this week:
*if I jump just about every time the phone rings at work? It's loud and it doesn't ring very often.
*if I'm going to my parents house today for Thanksgiving, I'm leaving at 1 o'clock this afternoon and I didn't pack until 11 o'clock last night? And I'm taking laundry home with me?
*if I wish we weren't still getting RSVP cards back? Can't people read and send them in on time?
*if I STILL don't understand things about my iPhone and I STILL haven't loaded my music onto it? I know how to do the things that I need to do and I have Pandora.
*if I've had a really hard time focusing on work this week? It was a long working weekend and it's a short week. All I can think about is laying around my parents house all weekend!!
*if I'm really excited for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade tomorrow?
*if I'm not really excited about have two Thanksgiving celebrations at the same time tomorrow? I'd really like to just enjoy the day and not have to rush from place to place or worry about who we're not seeing.
*if I have no idea what to do with all of the gifts that I got from my showers? I seriously have no where to put them in my house. And in 2 1/2 weeks we're going to get wedding gifts and I'll have no idea where to put those. Right now, the spot where the Christmas tree should go is full of gifts. The dining room is full of gifts and other wedding stuff. There is wedding stuff strewn about the living room. My house is seriously being taken over. I can't handle it.
*if I want to go back to kindergarten so I can nap everyday?
What are you saying So What to this week?

else is saying So What to this week!

Weekend recap
I have tons of pictures on my iPhone to share with you from this weekend, but I just got instagram and I really want to make them look cool first. And I want to see if I can figure out how to bypass facebook and load picutres from my iPhone to my blog. Right now I'm putting them in my mobile uploads album then copy pasting them to the blog and then deleting them from facebook. Anyone know how I can bypass facebook? Help? Please?
Anyway- this weekend I was in Grand Forks for the NW MN Synod Middle School gathering. It was awesome. I'm on the Lutheran Youth Organization board which is in charge of planning this gathering. And I had kids from my church come. So it was a busy, full weekend. Oh yea, and we had our 31st annual turkey dinner at church on Sunday evening when I got home. We served 100 people. So it was a really busy, really full weekend. But it was a great weekend.
There were over 800 attendees at the gathering. It warmed my heart so much to see so many middle school kids worshiping together. And caring so much for other people. They donated almost $3,000 during the offering and that money will go to churches in Minot that were flooded this summer!!! They also made these bracelets during one of their breakout sessions:

We made these in youth group last spring and sent them to a church that was sending missionaries to Russia to visit orphanges.
So I got to lead the breakout session where the gathering kids got to make these. They each got to make 2 bracelets. One for themselves and one to donate. They got to choose where in the world they wanted to donated their bracelet to: our sister synod in India, the church we worked with last year from Haiti, or the churches in Minot that our financial offering was going to. It was so awesome to see these kids jump into this project. Some of them didn't get it, but some of them really got it. The ones that got it helped the ones that didn't. Love. The idea was that while they were making the bracelets they would be praying for the whomever gets their bracelet and when they wear their bracelet they pray for them again. Even tho they don't know who the other person is. How awesome is that??
Yesterday I had to go back over to Grand Forks because I forgot to take my wedding band with this weekend and I had to send my rings out to get soddered together.
Sorry for the blurry picture.
My hand looks and feels so naked. And now I don't get to wear my rings again until I'm married to my future Mr. Ahhhhh!!! That's only 18 days away. 18! Oh my. I have a lot to do in 18 days...
Centerpieces...... Bmaid gifts (I only have 1 thing left to make)...... Gman gifts (they've been ordered, we're just waiting for them) ............. Programs (We're in the proofing stage with the printing company) ......... Touch base with the photog, make sure we've got the details down ................. Touch base again with the DJ ........... Final dress fittings ................. Try to not stress out ................. Make place cards ................ Find something to put favors in ..................... I'm sure I'll have more to share tomorrow in my Wedding Wednesday post, only 3 more Wedding Wednesdays until I'm a Mrs!!!!
Hope you're having a great Tuesday!

Wedding Wednesday
Only 24 days to go!
That means only 3 Wedding Wednesdays between now and the big day!
It's been another busy week in wedding world!
I've been working on centerpieces.
We're using wine bottles for our centerpieces. We will have between 3 and 5 bottles on each table depending on the size of the table and the bottle (yes- 2 sizes of tables, round and rectangle).
Each bottle has been wrapping in yarn, spray painted or overed in glitter.
Oh! We're also using the eternity candles from church as centerpieces. The candle gets a new instert everyweek that is basically a candle in a glass cylinder that burns for a whole week. So those have also been wrapped in yarn, spray painted and covered in glitter.
This is what the spray painted ones look like but this is a picture from pinterest. I forgot to take a picture of mine but this is where I got the idea and this is what mine look like.
This is what the ones wrapped in yarn look like:
Sorry, you'll have to pretend that it's right side up, I couldn't get it to rotate.
Anyway, there are some blue, some green and some white. Well not some, lots of each. I've gone through two things of yarn in each color so far...
The glitter ones you'll have to use your imaginations with for now. I don't have a real picture of them or an inspiration picture of them. Sorry!
Also, our favors are done. I can't remember if I told you about them or not so I'll tell you again!
We are doing bouncy ball favors :)
Each bouncy ball is in it's own bag with a tag at the top that says "Hope you had a 'ball' at our wedding!" Love, Sarah and Kris
How cute are those? I'm so excited to give them to people.
In the assortment pack of bouncy balls that I got from oriental trading there were some bouncy balls that looked like rocks and they bouncy all crazy, those ones say "Hope you had a 'rockin' good time at our wedding" Love, Sarah and Kris.
Love it!
This is what all 300 favors look like. Thats a box that printer paper comes in- it's not small...
You can see one of the rock bouncy balls on top.
On Monday night I worked on necklaces for my bridesmaids.
This is what I wanted to get them, with just one letter charm in their inital.
But these are $30 a piece. And I have 6 bridesmaids. Yea, not happening.
This is what I made instead:
I got the chains for $2.47 a piece. The silver circles came in a 4 pack for $2.47 and I had the pearls from when I made their earrings and the head pins so I could make pearl charm for each.
My thought at first was to find a way to stamp their initials on the silver circles myself. I bought an old typewriter at the 2nd hand store but I couldn't get the letters out and I don't think they would have been solid enough even if I could have gotten them out.
So I gave up on the letters and just went with the circles and the pearls.
And I think they turned out beautifully! I really love them. And they were so easy to put together, I was suprized at how easy it was.
We (me, my sister, my mom, and my ring bearers mom) have been looking for a tie for our ring bearer since we asked him to be our ring bearer.
I found one yesterday!
I was so excited!
Seriously!! How cute is that?
And Lindsay from The Pleated Poppy was so helpful!
I had issues with putting the tie in my "cart" then having to refresh the window and it wasn't there anymore, she emailed me back right away and was very helpful and nice.

I'm so excited! That tie is going to look so cool with the lime green and royal blue that everyone else is wearing!!!!!
Yay!
So, it's been a busy week in wedding town. Only a few more weeks to go!!
Hope you're having a great day!

So What Wednesday
It's that time of the week again to link up with Shannon at Life After I "Dew"
for So What Wednesday!
Here's what I'm saying So What to this week:
*if I agonize over changing my blog backround event though it's super easy to change if I don't like it?
*if it drives me crazy when the inside and outside of houses don't match on tv shows or in movies? It also bothers me when hallways or rooms on the inside of buildings move to fit the story line. This probably comes from being the stage manager for drama productions at my high school, huh?
*if I find Kelly Ripa annoying? Don't hate! There are probably people that bother you that I like!
*if we only had 3 kids show up at our lock in on Friday and we spent most of the time watching movies?
*if I can't stand HSN commericals and my cable provider shows them all the time?!
*if the food network never fails to make me hungry?
*if the future Mr is having his bachelor party this weekend and I'm worried that it won't happen? His brother has been slow at planning and really doesn't have a whole lot nailed down yet...
*if I still haven't found a parent to help drive to the middle school gathering on Friday? Or if I still don't have enough people to help work at the Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday? It's Wednesday- church will busy tonight, I should be able to find help... Right?
*if I'm looking forward to January because my life might slow down a little bit? Isn't that terrible that I'm wishing away time? I know when I'm 70 I'll regret that.
What are you saying So What to this week?

SNOW!!
It's snowing here in northern MN!! So much so that I had to go home & get my boots on- not the ones I blogged about earlier tho, I had to go get my knock off uggs. And my winter jacket cuz my fleecy northface wasn't warm enough, and my winter gloves that are water proof- the cute knitted ones weren't cutting it any more.
And the snow is accumulating. It looks like winter is here to stay...
And the snow is accumulating. It looks like winter is here to stay...
blog-cation?
Apparently I needed a break from blogging! Sorry! I didn't mean to take a break, life just got in the way!
I'm not complaining but work is crazy right now! This weekend we have our synod's middle school youth gathering. I'm on the board that helps plan it and I'm taking kids. Ahhhh!!! So I have to go early, then find someone to drive my kids there. Then find someone to drive them home cuz I have to stay late. On Sunday morning we have our monthly pancake breakfast, again, I had to find someone to be in charge because I'll be at the gathering. Then on Sunday afternoon/evening we have our annual Thanksgiving dinner that the sr hi youth put on for the members of our congregation that are 70 years old and older. Again, I had to find someone to put this in motion and keep it rolling because I'll get back to town about the same time that we start serving dinner.
Have I mentioned that I'm not good at asking for help? I really like to think that I'm super woman and I can do it all. And I hate calling people and asking them to help, I feel so needy and ackward.
And on top of all of this work stuff I am getting married in 25 days?!?! 25? How did that happen??
Yesterday was my day off. I spent the day working on centerpieces (I'll share more tomorrow), working on wedding jewlery (I'll share more tomorrow), running errands for the 2 meals that we have to serve at church on Sunday, and making calls for this dinner. Oh, and I did dishes and laundry, and wrote thank yous for my shower gifts.
Have a mentioned that I don't sleep much? I'm so ready for January, hopefully my life will slow down a little bit by then...
In other happy news- I finally found boots that I like!! A woo hoo!!!

In other happy news- I finally found boots that I like!! A woo hoo!!!
I really liked them in the store and they were on sale for $20. But then I got them home and I'm just not sure what to wear them with. And I'm afraid that they look a little too cow-girl-ish. I do love country music but, I don't want to look like I belong on the farm all the time.
Then when I was looking on K-Mart's website for a picture of these beauties, I found these:
This is more of what I really want. I did see these in the store but they only had gray. It never dawned on me to look online! While I'm on their website today I see that they have free shipping on orders over $25 and the boots are buy one get one half off! I might have to return the first pair to the store here and order both pairs online. Cuz I could get both pairs for only $35!!
Although even with the 2nd pair I'm not really sure what I would wear them with... I'm not a fan of sticking your jeans into the boots and then have your jeans look bunchy, maybe I just need to get skinnier jeans. Or maybe I need thicker leggings, the ones that I have now are a little see through for my taste- more like tights. What do you wear with your boots?
How was your weekend? I hope it was fantastic!
Love, a future Mrs
