Identity crisis?

The future Mr and I crossed things off our "to-do" list like crazy this weekend!!
We worked on wedding center pieces

I made mini apple pies
Yum-O!

We put insulation and an old blanket over the window AC unit in my bedroom. Hopefully it will keep some of the cold air outside this winter!

We got my car and the grill to fit in my garage so that we don't have to put the grill in storage this winter :)

We put the patio set of tables and chairs in the basement. I didn't take a picture of that cuz it's sad.
We put our bicycles in the basement. I didn't take a picture of that cuz it's boring.
I took the storage tubs (full of holiday decorations) out of the front closet and put them in the basement. I didn't take a picture of that because let's be real- it's an empty closet :)

We hung up new signs:
Our new last name. Well it's already his last name, you know what I mean :)
This was a shower/wedding gift from one of the church grandmas from the church I work at.
This is hanging in our living room, above the archway into the computer room.
I got this at Burlington Coat Factory for $9.99! What?!
We hung this in the dining room right next to the door that goes into the kitchen.
I love it.

And I carved a pumpkin for work. The one that actually has a face was for my children's sermon yesterday and the one with the stars is from youth group last week.
But here is where we have the identity crisis.
If you look at the tree behind the pumpkins you will notice...
Christmas lights? Wrapped around the trunk?
Yes, you are right! And they're not just around the trunk, they're on top too. And they're on the tree on the other side of the doorway, and the tree out in the yard.
We hung our Christmas lights already!
Whoop-whoop!!
Ok, I love Christmas, but not that much. The lights did get turned on to make sure they work and they look ok. But they are not plugged in all the time yet.
You see, hanging Christmas lights is a 2 person job.
The next two weekends are deer hunting which means the future Mr won't be here. The weekend after that is the Synod Middle School gathering so I won't be here. Then it's Thanksgiving. Then it's wedding. And it's way nicer to get lights done before the snow comes.
So, for a little while my house will look like it's having an identity crisis but I'm ok with that :)

How was you're weekend?
Love, a future Mrs.

What a mess!

I feel like my life is a total mess right now! My house is a mess (seriously- the living room, my bedroom, the kitchen, the dining room), my car is a mess (inside & out), my office is a mess (it's a wonder that I can find anything), I feel like I'm a mess- I can't find anything. I was cleaning my house after work today and I found two bills on my table that are due on Nov. 1st, which is in 4 days. Ugh! That is not enough time to mail them a check! I'm so mad at myself that those got lost on my dining room table!! Thank God I was able to pay both bills online/over the phone without having to pay an extra service fee!!

Ugh! I can not wait until the wedding is over and things start to slow down! I'm sure that I will regret saying that! I am enjoying the planning but it's just making my life a little crazy right now.

If I could just get my house clean I think I would feel a lot better. I better go work on that before the future Mr gets here :)

Hope you're having a great day!

Headache

Sorry I was gone yesterday friends but I had a terrible headache. I kid you not, I laid in my bed all day. I only got up to go to the bathroom. Finally at 6:30 last night I thought I should maybe get out of my bed for a while so I went and sat on the couch. I could only sit up for a while because my head hurt so bad. And I got frustraded being out in my living room because it needs to be cleaned and I just could not make myself clean it. Ugh. I know I've talked about my headaches before in blog land but we had some new symptoms yesterday that made this one worse. My left ear hurt so bad. It was like there was an intense amount of pressure built up in it. The other new symptom was that I didn't want to/couldn't eat. I seriously had 6 cheeze itz crackers for lunch and another small handful with a pack of fruit snacks for dinner.

At 11 I took a healthy dose of nyquill and said went back to bed. I remember seeing the end of game 6 (holy crap- did you see that?!) but nothing after that. I was out cold. I still have a little bit of lingering pain that pops up now and then but for the most part I feel better today. I'm back at work and I'm getting things done.

I hope you're having a great day!

Wedding Wednesday!

Only 45 days to go!!!!
Ahhhh!!!

This past weekend the future Mr and I had our pre marriage retreat. It was a Friday night, all day Saturday event. The general lay out was that we had "large group" time where we listened to the Pastor that runs the retreat (not the Pastor marrying us- he wasn't there), the Pastor running the whole thing has his son and another gal that help him. So we would listen to them talk about different topics then we broke off into Sunday school rooms where we got to talk just us two.

Friday night our topics were communication and our family of origin.

Then we went to stay with our friends Tasha and Mark which was fun. We didn't get to talk a whole lot because is was well after 9 by the time we got to their house and they had to work at 6:30 and 7:30 the next morning so they wanted to go to bed early.

Since they had to leave early and they live in an apartment that you need to either deadbolt from the inside or lock with a key from the outside, we had to leave when they did. Ugh. So we went to Denny's for breakfast- it was the 1st time I had ever been there. Then I showed the future Mr where my sister's new apartment is and where her boyfriend lives. Then we went to Starbucks and finally it was 9 o'clock and we could go back to the church.

Our topics on Saturday included: money/finances, sex/intimacy, religion, & commitment. (There were others but I can't remember them all right now.) The only one that we had issues with or that we didn't see eye to eye on was/is money. We just have to figure out how we'll combine our finances, how much we'll give to the church, how much "fun" money we'll each get every month. It's a lot to figure out. Expecially when we've both gotten use to our financial independence, and we're both pretty comfortable with how things are now.

We meet with the Pastor who is marrying us, Pastor Wade next Friday to go over what we talked about at the retreat and how we feel about things.

Last week I cleaned out and took the labels off of 105 wine bottles.
This is what my bathtub looked like last Wednesday, and this is only 1/2 of them...

Now they need to be decorated. Last night I told the future Mr that he'll have to help with that this weekend. He said "What if I don't want to help? Guys don't normally have to help with wedding crafts." I told him that I didn't care if he didn't want to. He was going to get to help anyway. I don't think he was very happy with me. Oh well- that's a lot of work to do. And we have to work on place cards too. But I think those are the only things we have left, well the only crafty things.

I still have to call the photographer and the wedding planner to touch base with them, the future Mr needs to touch base with the DJ.

I had my first dress fitting on Sunday night :) But I forgot my puffy skirt to go under my dress and I found out that I will indeed need to wear a strapless bra. So I have to go back next weekend and bring those two things with me.

We picked our cake flavors on Sunday (the cake lady and the dress lady are the same lady- I love her). We decided on cupcake so we can have more flavors. We are having: funfetti cake with white frosting, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, peanut butter chocolate cake with chocolate fudge frosting, white cake with strawberry filling and white frosting, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and (my favorite) spice cake with apple pie filling, cream cheese frosting and a caramel drizel. Yumm-O!! The we will do a small two tier cake on the head table that we will cut, take pictures with and possibly smoosh in each other's faces. That cake will have a 10" tier and a 6" tier, it will just be white cake with white frosting. I don't want to take any chances and get something icky on my dress.

This weekend the plan is to work on wine bottles for centerpieces (someone please remind me why I thought this was a good idea!), pick scripture readings and songs for the ceremony, make a list of what we want pictures of, decide what we want the programs to look like, and look through the big bridal binder that I bought back in Feb to see if theres anything else that we're missing. Uff-da. That's a lot.

I might be freaking out a little.

So What Wednesday!

Where did Wednesday come from this week??
I'm hooking up with the hostess with the mostest Mrs. Dew
from Life After I "Dew" for another edition of So What Wednesday!

Here's what I'm saying So What to this week:

*if it didn't dawn on me that empty wine bottles would float when I tried to soak a bunch of them in my bathtub last week to get the lables off?

*if I was the only one that took notes during our large group time during our pre marriage retreat this past weekend? During our first break out session when it was just the future Mr and I, I asked him if he was embarassed by me. He said no. Good answer hunny, good answer :)

*if I always check my phone when I hear a ring tone or a text tone that sounds remotely like mine? Even if it was the same guy/phone over and over at dinner the other night?

*if I love watching unsloved mysteries but I had to stop watching them cuz I let myself get freaked out?

*if I think Elliot Stabler from Law & Order:Special Vitcims Unit is hott??
And so does my mom?

*if I went to both groceries stores in town yesterday because they had different things on sale? And then I ended up spending $100 between the 2 stores?

*if I had spaghettios for lunch yesterday? See above post- I spent $100 at the grocery store, I obviously had NO food at my house!

*if I'm starting to freak out about the wedding? It's only 45 days away...

What are you saying So What to this week?
Head on over to LIfe After I "Dew" to see what
everyone else is saying So What to this week!

pet peevs & a creepy story

This is going to sound a little bit like a SWW post but it's not. These are some of my biggest pet peevs:

It drives me bananas when people use the automatic openers on doors that they are fully capeable of opening with their hands and arms. The kids at church think it is so funny/cool to open doors this way. I hate it because the door stays open forever and cold air comes rushing in. I also hate it because things get broken and worn out when they are used that often, and I would hate for the door to be broken when someone actually needed it (an older person, a mom with a baby, me when I have to buy groceries for the pancake breakfast).

I get so annoyed when people are walking in front of me and they just stop. Maybe their phone rang, maybe they saw someone they know, maybe they forgot something. If you're stopping to talk to someone please move over to the side of the hallway/walkway. If you forgot something and you need to go back the other way please say excuse me. Don't just stop and rummage through your bag.

I don't like when store put their racks so close together that you can't get inbetween them. Don't you want me to buy things in your store?

I get a little road ragey when people aren't paying attention while they're driving and they miss an enitre cycle of the stop light. This seriously happened to me! The light turned green, she didn't move, it turned yellow, still sitting there, turned red, still didn't move. I waited patiently, I'm not a horn honker, I just sit in my car with my windows up and say things when people can't hear me :) She then got out of her car and told me that she was having car issues and she couldn't move. Ok. I felt bad that I had assumed she wasn't paying attention. My ragey-ness then switched to the big truck behind me that was right up on the back of my car and honking like there was no tomorrow. I have him the evil eye as he drove around me but I don't think he saw me.

I've worked in customer service in a few different capacities during my working life. I have been a bank teller, a waitress (at 2 different resturants), and I worked at The Children's Place. But I still get annoyed when people work in those jobs and they aren't good at them. I understand that it gets busy and you have htings to take care of, but you should never ignor or neglect a table when you are a waitress, and you should always at least try to force a smile when you work in retail. Come on!!

Sorry! I know I sound like a whiner & a complainer, I promise I'm not!!

*****

In other news: when I got back to my house yesterday from my parents I had a weird feeling that someone had been in my house. I looked around and all of the big things were there, it didn't seem like anything had been moved, and both doors were locked so I brushed off my feeling and came back to work after lunch. Then after work I went to the volleyball game at the high school. After that I looked for jobs for the future mr read the newspaper. Then I was going to get ready for bed. As I was walking for the living room into my bedroom I looked to my left, into the hallway area and I noticed that the closet door was shut. I never shut the closet door. Then I went into my bedroom and noticed that the pea coat I bought to wear with my dress for the wedding was laying on my bed and not hanging in the closet in the hallway. Creepy! I hung it back up and noticed that all of the other hangers in the closet (there were empty before this weekend) were backwards on the closet rod, like the top part that goes over the rod was facing the wrong way. I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and the toilet seat was up like a boy had gone potty!! The future Mr hasn't been at my house in weeks, in face no boy has been to my house in weeks. At this point I was really creeped out.

As I was brushing my teeth in dawned on me that the electrican had called me on Friday morning to see if the could come fix the light in the closet in the hallway. I told them that I was out of town but they could call my landlady to see if she would let them in. I check that light as soon as I was done brushing my teeth and sure enough- the light works. Thank God! I was so relieved that a stranger wasn't in my house for no apparent reason.

And to think, I don't even like Halloween or scary stories :)

Thanks for your kind comments yesterday- I really appreciate it!
Hope you're having a great day!

Umm, I'm not having a baby

Yesterday the future Mr and I went to play Bingo at the bar and resturant my mom manages. I Bingo-ed on the first game and almost missed it! Honestly, who doesn't pay close attention to her bingo card??

After Bingo was over we stayed to watch the rest of the Vikings game. I love the Vikings and I will never cheer for any other team but I'm wondering why I'm still watching them this season?! It is heart breaking to watch them start the game great every week and then just throw it away. Ugh.

The whole time we were there, I had 1 alcoholic drink then I switched to pop and water because I had to drive back to the town that I live in. After I had switched a lady came and sat down next to me to play bingo with her friends. After bingo was over she asked me when my baby was due.

Excuse me?

I looked at her blankly for a second then realized I should probably respond so I said "I'm not having a baby." She looked me up and down and then apologized and mumbled something about how because I was drinking pop she just assumed. She looked me up and down! What the crap! Couldn't she have just taken my word for it. Obivously I would know if I was preggo! (I for sure am NOT expecting, believe me, I will shout it from the rooftop when I am.) And what does not drinking alcohol have to do with it! I know lots of people that don't drink at all and it isn't cuz they're preggo!! I went into the bathroom and I cried a little. I know that I weigh more then I should but it's spread out around my body. My stomach doesn't stick way out in front of me. And I'm working on health issues/eating better. I thought I looked good yesterday, I guess not. When I came back from the bathroom the future Mr asked me what was wrong and I had to lie to him. If I would have told him what she said to me I would've started crying right there, and who knows what he would have said to the lady. When we got in the car to go back to my parents house (where I ended up staying last night anyway) I told him the truth and God bless him, he just held me hand, let me cry, and told me he thinks I'm beautiful.

Seriously- who asks someone when they're due if they don't know for sure that they are expecting?!? You should never do that! Especially when you don't know the person! The only time that is acceptable is when they have a baby on board shirt on (I don't know if I've ever actually seen one of those). I felt so terrible after she said that. It was a crappy way to end the weekend.

Love, a future Mrs. (without a baby)

Happy Birthday!!

Today is my future Mr's 27 birthday!

And how does he get to celebrate? By going to a pre marriage counseling retreat with me! I'm sure he'd rather do something else (more fun) but it's one more thing off the wedding to do list!

So, future Mr, even tho we're not doing the most exciting thing for your bday, I hope you enjoy your last bday as a single man :) I love you!!

Ice Ice Baby

No, this is not a post about Vanilla Ice. Although I'm sure I would like that more.

This is a post to let you know that for the first time this fall I had to scrape ice (frost) off the windows of my car before I could drive it. Yuck! And I had to hunt for my scrapper!! Apparently I thought it would be a good idea to take it out of my car this summer and put it in my garage!

Now, this is not a suprise to us in northern MN. Winter always comes and we will always need to scrape our windows. But it is kind of a cruel suprise when it was 80 degrees two weeks ago!! Only here. Only here does the weather flucuate this fast.

In other, happier news- I got 5 comments on my SWW post yesterday! A woo hoo!! I feel so loved! Thanks girls!

Hope you're haivng a great day!

Wedding Wednesday

52 days to go!
A woo hoo!!

I don't really have a theme this week.
Just a check list of things that we've gotten done.

Invites were mailed last week :) I've gotten lots of questions about what the icons mean for dinner options. I thought they were pretty clear but I guess not.

We sent out approximately 170 invites. I didn't know that we knew so many people!
This is the aftermath of our invitations on my dining room table:
It was such a mess! Each invite got a bow (which Katie and Lacey helped with) but then each RSVP card needed a stamp, each envelope needed and invite, an info card & a RSVP card then they needed a stamp, an address label & a return address label. I'm so glad that when we do thank you's the future Mr (well by then he'll be my Mr) will be here to help. I'm sick of doing wedding stuff by myself!

I picked up the future Mr's ring on Friday.
Isn't it pretty?

And aren't our rings beautiful together?
Yes, I put my wedding band on to take this picutre :)
I love wearing both of my rings! In just a month I get to send them in to get them soddered together!!

For our centerpieces we're using old wine bottles to hold flowers & candles.
My mom manages a bar & resutrant so I had her save wine bottle for me.
She brought me a bunch when she was here two weeks ago for my Pampered Chef shower.
Well they all needed to be washed out and then soaked to get their labels off.
So this is what my bathtub looked like last night.
This is only 1/2 of what she brought me.
So my bathtub will look like this agian tonight.
Then they will all get wrapped in yarn or covered in glitter :)
I like glitter :)

I feel like I have a lot to do and not a whole lot of time. I suppose I better kick this train into high gear!

Hope you're having a great day!
Love, a future Mrs.

So What Wednesday

It's that time of week again!
Here's what I'm saying So What to this week:

*if I check my pockets for my keys and my phone before flushing in a public bathroom?

*if I prefer that the polish on my toenails matches the polish on my fingernails?

*if I went to the Mexican Village for dinner two nights in a row last weekend? I hardly ever get to go there and it's so good!

*if when I go to Target I pick up things that I might like, carry them around for a while and then decide that I don't really want/need them? Then I go put them back where I found them? I hate when people leave random things in random places in stores.

*if I watch movies on TV even if I own them on DVD? Sometimes you just can't pass up a good movie

*if I can't decide between weight watchers and my fitness pal? Right now I have both. My fitness pal is easier, I've found that I don't like having to firugre out points, and mfp has more food options already in their database. And mfp is free. I may have just made my decision.

*if I alway leave the volume on my TV on a 5 or a 0?

*if I sometimes put sandals on and then paint my toenails? That way they don't get smudged when I don't have a lot of time!

*if I can't decide if I want to go to the high school football game tonight? I'd love to go see them play & I've only been to one game so far this fall but it is cold here in nothern MN!!

Homecoming

Last weekend was and is always my 2nd favorite weekend of the year (nothing beats birthday weekend!). It was homecoming at Concordia which is where I went to college!

There is a group of 5 of us that have gotten together for all 3 homecomings since we graduated and we plan to always get together that weekend for homecoming/girls weekend. It's the best. My soul needs it. You know how you just need girlfirends?

left to right: Jammie, Rachel, Megan (college roomie & b-maid), Becky & me
This is the 5 of us in front of the bell tower in the middle of campus. I love these girls!! And I love that we can all get together and just be together. We don't have to do something, nobody has an agenda. We just hang out. Sure we got on each others nerves but when you have 5 girls sharing a one bedroom/one bathroom apartment for the weekend tensions are going to run high every now and then. And heaven forbid we all be ready to leave at the same time. Haha!!

But my weekend actually started on Thursday. I left work about 3:30 and headed for the Fargo/Moorhead area. I met my friend Tasha (one of my b-maids) and got to see her new apartment. Then we went and met our friend Ashley, got to see her new house (I can't believe I have friends that are building houses!!) and then the 3 of us went to the Mexican Village for dinner. I love being with these two girls. The only thing that would make it better is if the rest of the high school girls were there. After dinner I went to my sister's apartment to hang out and spend the night with her.

On Friday it was on to homecoming festivities. I went to chapel (Concordia is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Churches of America (ELCA)), then I had coffee with Pastor Tessa who is one of the campus pastors at Concordia. I love her. And our relationship didn't really start until after college. It started at a continuing ed event.

Then I did some shopping! I found a dress for my bridal shower in a few weeks, then I went and picked up the future Mr's wedding band. He is so excited, he's like a kid at Christmas!

After that I went to Rachel's apartment- where we all stayed for the weekend. It was so much fun and so relaxing. It was really hard to leave on Saturday night, earlier then everyone else had to leave. But I had to come back to my norhern town to work on Sunday. I cried a lot little on the way home.

Hope you're having a great Tuesday!

Wedding Wednesday!

Only 59 days to go!
Seriously- where has the time gone??

Today I'm going to introduce you to the guys!

First up: the future Mr. himself!
My handsom groom!
Isn't he cute?

This is us at Target Field for my mom's b-day last month.
I love that he fits in with my family, he likes them and they like him. I love that he likes to do things as a family. I can't wait to have our own family :)

The best man- the future Mr's brother, Brandon

He is quickly becoming the brother I never had. We bicker back and forth over small dumb things. I get frustrated when I see him make bad decisions and I only want the best for him.

Groomsmen:
The future Mr's friend Tyler

This is Tyler and his fiance Kayla.

Tony

Tony and his wife Amanda

Adam

Sorry this isn't a very good picture but it's so cute! This is Adam with his little girl and his little boy.

Tick

This is seriously the only picture that I could find of Tick on facebook!
He's on the right and my future Mr is on the left.
His real name isn't Tick- it's Brian. But someone started calling him woodtick cuz he's kind of a rugged guy, then it just got shortened to Tick.
This picture pretty much describes him. He's always telling a story, and he usually has dirty flannel or denim on and I don't think I've ever seen him without a hat!
Dec. 10th should be interesting, I'll get to see him in something clean and he won't have a hat on!

Eric

Eric is my sister's boyfriend.
His family camps at a campground by our hometown, which is where Tick works so my future Mr has known E longer then Kt has! Crazy!
E is a good guy- we like him :)

Ushers:
Tyler

Tyler is like the brother I never had. His parents were our Young Life leaders in high school. We were friends before YL but it really strengthend our friendship. I caused me to form a bond with his parents.
The summer between our Jr and Sr year of high school is family moved from NW MN to West Lafayette IN. My parents offered to let Tyler live with us senior year so that he could graduate with the kids he had always gone to school with (we weren't the only family that offered). His parents declined the offers.
It was hard to have him move away but we stayed friends. I went to visit his family twice while I was in college. Thankfully Minneapolis to Chicago is a regular flight so that prices don't go all over the place!
And now he's going to be an usher in my wedding. Wow. Time flys!

Travis

Haha! I found this picture on facebook and I couldn't resist!
Travis is Lindsay's boyfriend. Lindsay is my future Mr's sister.
He's a good guy and he and Lindsay are great for each other. I hope he's the next addition to the family :)

Ring bearer
Alex

I call this guy my little boyfriend. He is so stinkin' cute!
He's 4 1/2. The future Mr. and I know him because his mom is the Sunday School super intendent at the church I work at. I seriously want to scoop him up and kiss him every time I see him!
And he is so handsom in his tux! I can't wait to show you pictures of him!

There you have it! Those are the guys that will be celebrating with us!

*****

In other wedding news:
I had my first shower this past weekend.
The curch ladies threw a pampered chef shower for me. It was fun. I got to help prep and bake a cherry apple tart, my mom, sister, Lacey, Tasha, my MIL to be, her sister, and our flower girl all came, and I got presents! Who doesn't love presents?!?

Our wedding invites are all assembled and ready to be mailed. All I need to do is add our return address to envelopes and stamps. Ahh!!

My mom brought me a bunch more wine bottles from the bar and resturante that she manages. Now I just need to rinse them and wrap them in yarn or cover them in glitter.

Shoes are done for the bridesmaids, flower girl, and myself.

I just ordered our can cozie favors today.

It's all coming together and I'm so excited.
Two months from right now I will be a married woman!
What?!?
That's so crazy and grown up and awesome!!!

Hope you're having a great Wednesday!
Love, a future Mrs.

So What Wednesday

Photobucket
It's time again for So What Wednesday with Shannon from Life After I "Dew".
Here's what I'm saying So What to this week:

*if I haven't blogged in a week? It's been a long week!

*if I have to stop myself from listening to the songs that will be played during the wedding and the songs that I will dance to with my dad and my future Mr? I want them to be really special and I feel like when you listen to a song 100 times it isn't as special.

*if it's hard for my to be really open and honest here on my blog? I almost always think twice about hitting "publish".

*if I am over the moon excited for this weekend?!? I can't wait to tell you all about it!

*if I wrote three posts today (Tuesday)? I'm a youth director- Wednesdays are crazy busy, I don't have the time to blog.

*if I made to do notes and SWW notes on my phone? I'd forget them otherwise!

*if sometimes I think my future Mr's family is a little weird? I'm sure people think my family is weird more often then not.

*if I really want to give my b-maids this necklace but I'm not sure if I want to fork over $30 per b-maid for a gift?
initial on a chain Product Image
I made earring for them that have a blue bead, a pearl and a green bead so this necklace would match. But I just don't know if I can do it. $30 a piece adds up fast. But it's so pretty!! And it would look so pretty with their dresses!!!!! And I love the vintage pearl!

Dinner with the man I love

Last weekend, Oct. 1st & 2nd was the start of beet harvest in NW MN. They were able to harvest and haul to the pilers until Sunday afternoon then they got shut down because of the heat.

And they havn't started again yet.

My future Mr. hauls beets.

I hadn't seen him in 15 days. Which is a really long time for us.

Until last night. We met part way between our houses (not right in the middle becuase there's nothing there) for dinner. I drove 35 miles one way to have dinner with the man I'm going to marry. And it was great. I couldn't believe how much I missed him. 4 years ago I barely even knew him and now I can't go 15 days without seeing him! It's crazy what love will do to you.

The food wasn't that great but it was so nice to talk to him in person, to hold his hand, to kiss him, to hug him, to look into his eyes. I really just blew out a sigh of relief because I feel so much better now.

A few weeks ago I wrote about being homesick. I know that I am homesick, and I know that I don't like feeling this way, I don't like being sad and feeling like crying all the time but I think part of my problem is that I'm homesick for my future Mr. And it isn't always about the time we've spent away from each other, it's about how long it will be until we see each other again.

This coming weekend I have plans with some college girlfriends and he's hoping to be hauling beets, so I knew I wouldn't see him then. Then the following weekend is when we have our pre marriage counseling, which is also his birthday weekend. Then we would have one weekend to hang out, just the two of us. Then the first weekend in Nov is my second bridal shower and my bachelorette party (and the start of deer hunting in NW MN), the weekend after that is still deer hunting, after that I have a gathering to be at for work Thur-Sun, then Thanksgiving, then one free weekend, then the wedding. I feel like we're not going to have any time, just the two us, until after we're married. And I crave that time alone with him. I long for it. I need it.

So it's really hard on me when I don't get to see him very often.

Do you need your significant other like I need mine?

New Couch :)

                             Good bye old couch...
                                                                                                         ...Hello new couch!

There is also an ottoman that goes with the new couch that you can't see in this picture. But it doesn't open so I'm not sure where to put all of our extra blankets now. Hmm... any suggestions? Also, I have fabric to make slip covers for all of the throw pillows from the old couch. They will be light blue & chocolate brown. I'm hoping to get them done this week.

It's a little big for our living room- as you can see, it kind of blocks the front door so we had to put it at an angle. But it works. And we're not going to live in this house forever. Although we have to live here for a while cuz it was a pain to get that thing in the front door! It took 4 of us (the boy that lives upstairs and his girlfriend had to help us!), so we don't want to move it any time soon.

I hope you're having a great day!
