*if i haven't changed the flowers in the center piece on our dining room table since the week before easter? chill out- they're fake. obv.

*if i made myself sick because i didn't drink enough water while we were on the lake this weekend? you can bet your sweet booty i bought bottled water to take with this weekend.

*if i failed at the nautical theme cara box this month?

project pinterest

it's been a while since we've done a project pinterest update around here.
but i've still been doing things off of pinterest- here are a few of them:

YOGURT POPS "Cake Pop" pan to good use. Fat Free Strawberry Yogurt and placed it in a plastic baggie for easy pouring. Clamped the cake pop pan with the two yellow rubber clips it came with...Filled the cake pop pan Make sure you shake and bang on the table or you will get air bubbles and add pop sticks when they are full. {Freeze} They are ready in an hour. If they stick you can fill up your sink with warm water and place pan in the water just for a few seconds.
yogurt cake pops- these were a huge hit! and so much easier than real cake pops.
Must do!
messy twister was so much fun! for the first few spins. then it got to be too messy and you couldn't stand up anymore. it basically just dissolved into seeing how much paint you could get on other people. one boy went home from youth group with paint in his ear. oops.

Sidewalk paint
liquid chalk- big hit and more fun the regular chalk. feels cool when it dries too.
perfect bubbles via @petit_elefant
giant bubbles? i couldn't even make regular bubble with this recipe.
but it did look pretty cool when i dumped it out, i kind of threw the liquid in the bucket out onto the grass and it was like a stream of bubbles came out of the bucket.
Pour Capri Sun into popsicle mold, add sliced fruit, then freeze!
fruit pops- another super easy and yummie summer snack. the pin suggested using capri sun but i just used regular apple juice. i used canned mandarin oranges, grapes, strawberries, and apples in my pops.
 S’mores Bars
s'mores bars. these were super easy to make and they're ok. they don't really taste like s'mores though, not even close to an acceptable substitute. if you make these- be sure to watch close when you put them under the broiler- they will brown quickly!! my kitchen was kind of smokey because i left them in a little bit too long.

sorry i don't have any of my own pictures of these things. i have been so bad about taking pictures this summer.

finish the sentence!

linking up with jake and holly for finish the sentence!

if i had one extra hour in a the day...
i would sleep. or read. or craft. or bake.
basically anything. i'd just love to have more time!

i wish my name...
wasn't so common. i love being a sarah but
i'm not the biggest fan of having so many other sarahs in the world.

i think anything chevron...
needs to come home with me! i can't get enough,
i even painted my office curtains blue ombre chevron.

my last nightmare...
i can't remember it. but i'm sure it had something to do with snakes.
or someone trying to kill me.

sometimes...
jake and holly make their sentence prompts to vague and i don't know what to say.

my last meal on earth would be...
hopefully some unidentifiable goo because i'll be old and in a nursing home and it will be all that i can eat. if i'm not in a nursing home for my last meal i'd love steak and shrimp on grill. with sweet corn on the cobb. and moscoto. and cheesecake for dessert.

i would much rather be______ than _____...
a girl than a boy. thank goodness i am.

mayonnaise...
a lot of people here this evenin'
say it out loud.
jeff Foxworthy, blue collar comedy. look it up.

10 years ago, i didn't think...
i would be married to lindsay's older brother.
that's what you get for marrying your friend's big brother i guess.

selfishly...
i like to get my hair and nails did.

my favorite show on tv right now...
do friends re-runs count? no? ok, the bachelorette, it's the only thing i've watched this summer!

george zimmerman...
has gotten way to much attention.

so what wednesday

So What Wednesday
linking up with Shannon, you know the drill.

so what...

*if i'm forcing myself to write this before i read other blogs so that i actually write it?

*if i've been a total slacker about blogging lately? i'd blame it on summer but that doesn't seem to stop other people from blogging...

*if i haven't completely unpacked my suitcase and put it away in more than a month? when you use it every weekend it's so much easier to just leave it out.

*if i just admitted to using my suitcase every weekend? we live in an apartment, in a pretty good sized city, an hour away from where both sets of our parents live, which also happens to be in lake country. you do the math.

*if we bought a boat (did i forget to tell you about that?) a month ago and it's spent more time in the shop than on the lake since we bought it?

*if we've done lots of fun things this summer and i haven't really taken any pictures? if i didn't get all over IG and twitter does it mean it didn't happen?

*if i close my eyes when commercials come on for scary movies?

*if i like running the air conditioner enough that i can curl up under a blanket when i 'rest' on the couch after work even tho it's 85* outside?

*if i had tutti fruitti at 10:30 last night? when you're a youth director you have to hang out when the kids want to hang out.

head on over to life after i 'dew' to link up and
see what everyone else is so what-ing this week.

i'm not proud of that...

i try to be a good wife. i really do.

and most of the time, i do a good job. i cook things that he likes to eat, i bake him homemade cookies to take in his lunch, i tell him when he does things that i really appreciate, i thank him for knowing how to fix small things, i try not to say no to often, i wear my hair the way he likes it (not that i don't like it that way too), i could go on.

and he is a GREAT husband. i'm sure that if we both made a list of what makes our spouse great my list about him would be longer than his about me.

because sometimes i do things i'm really not proud of.
like calling him a pansy.
yes, i called my husband that to his face. all because i was trying to get him to do what i wanted him to do and what i thought was best.

why did i feel the need to do that?? was it really so important that he did what i wanted him to do? i'm sure we would've come to the same outcome on the matter if he did it his way.

i apologized, but that doesn't change the fact that i said it. ugh.

seriously- isn't he the cutest? i'm so lucky.
now, if i could just get my ego & attitude in check and stop saying stupid things to get my way i'd be a lot better off.
